迪化街是台北市現存最完整也最具有歷史意義的老街，從清末至今它都是大稻埕商圈的核心。這裡是臺灣南北貨、茶葉、中藥和布匹的批發貨集散地，每當年節前夕，台北人會絡繹不絕的來此購滿春節物品。
平常時間也可以悠閑的漫步在迪化街，此時的您會徬若走進歷史長廊的錯覺，這裡有仿巴洛克式、洋樓式樣、現代主義式、閩南式等傳統的文化建築物。吃貨也能在一些美食老店裡找到很有傳統台灣味料理。如果過年前來， 逛年貨大街更可以感受濃濃的過年氣氛， 也有更多好吃好玩的東西。
🏯迪化街歷史
迪化街最早有商店出現，是在清咸豐六年（1851年）。兩年後，艋舺地區的泉州同安人在迪化街紛紛建起商店，形成「中街」。到了日治時期以南北雜貨、茶行為主，之後米業和布匹、中藥等也逐漸佔有一席之地。1970年代，配合「市區改正」，道路拓寬、房屋的外觀有極大的改變，從樸實的閩南式店舖繁複華美的巴洛克式裝飾，形成了今天的主要面貌。

這裡有許多文藝氣息的展藝空間，在舊式的建築空間裡，擺放著令人懷舊的生活藝品。另外老街上的商品種類五花八門，就連現在難以尋獲的鐵鉗、斧頭等農用工具、手工竹籃，年糕模型都可以在這裡找到。又或者可以發現台灣生產的稻米，在文創包裝下，像藝術品般展示在商品架上，讓大家看見台灣農產品的新生命。不論是傳統或是新興的店，都值得大家細細體驗。
在這裡，依然可以找到老台北人懷念的古早味，鯊魚煙，紅燒肉，米粉湯，臭豆腐，魷魚羹，杏仁茶⋯⋯每一的料理都是老台北人舌尖上的記憶。
